There is one more thing you will need if you plan on getting a minidv camcorder, that is a firewire cable. Your computer probably has a firewire port, but you will need a wire to hook you camera to the computer, (the wire is sold with the camcorder). For this specific camcorder you would want a 4pin to 2pin firewire. That is what I would do though… will a little more info on what you have I could come up with something that would suit your needs more specifically….

i know this question has been asked before but i finally just got my new mac laptop and i’m ready to start making movies on it. i have about $400 to spend on a video camera and want to know the best one for this job. what has the best quality? what will connect to my computer?

Those are all questions that I would like answered to give you the best answer…. as for right now, from what I know about you mac, I would recommend a Canon ZR 960, which on amazon is $250 from there I would buy a microphone… like the Rode VideoMic, this will improve audio greatly! Rode videomic is $120, that leaves you $30 to do as you please, (I would buy a decent pair of headphones and use them to plug in to the camcorder so you can hear what your camcorder is picking up!)

If you have a Mac, there is a pre-installed program called iMovie, which has great effects and is great for the type of video you want as well. This program is very advanced but not nearly as advanced as Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro, which is for Macs only.
We are trying to make a video for youtube and we know how to upload videos but we dont know how to edit and delete scenes and add music and special effects?? Answer asap! thanks!

If you have a PC, there should be a program pre-installed called Windows Movie Maker, it’s not the best program, but it will get you started with making simple videos like the ones you want. There is also an even better program for PCs that is called Sony Vegas, it costs money but you can get a free trial if you go to their website.
It has so many effects, filters, generators, and much more, although you have to buy these.
If you want an online video editor, I suggest you go to onetruemedia.com, it will help with slideshows, and they even have music to put on your videos.
use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)… it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/lyric/etc)…. then save it as video file such as wmv file format… finally upload.
or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces….
this will help you…. Use ‘zillatube’. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Cropping, on the other hand, forces you to reconsider whole sections of the images, leaving out important information and often resulting in barely satisfying pictures.
I sometimes have grammar mistakes and of punctuation but I dont know how to edit it!
I know how to edit a picture but only the size,the contrast,the brightness,etc. But, what I wanna do is to edit the image sort of like drawing something on it to design it. Sort of like that. I use windows vista how can that be possible without downloading something that would demand payment.
I definitely recommend GIMP. It’s very similar to the functionality of photoshop, except it’s completely free.
For what you want to do you need the right type of software, this does not come free!!!!!!

To self-edit, put your work away for a month, and go back to it after the month is up. You’ll find so many things you’ll want to change it wont even be funny.
But if you seriously don’t know how to fix a spelling error, then writing isn’t for you.
Go to absolutewrite.com/forums and ask for a alpha reader in one of the threads if you have a complete or halfway done story. Or get someone else who may be interested, but is not a friend. Also get into critiquing other people works. That will definitely help. It is generally hard for people to look at their own work with an objective eye.
u can edit ur own writing but its better 2 have 2 more other ppl edit it 2 b/c they might c some mistakes u missed. then u have more than 1 pair of eyes 2 check mistakes with lol
Read aloud for grammar. Spelling you should rely on the computer.

I looked in the help menu but was unable to find anything that addressed editing. I would also like to know if it is possible to make a hyper link or something similar, that would allow me to click on it and it take me to a specified place in the document. How do I edit a hyper link in Microsoft Excel?
I’m not sure you can hyperlink to another cell, but go to the cell you want the hyperlink in and click the hyperlink icon (globe with a chain link). Fill in the blanks.
Once you learn exactly what a hyperlink looks like, you can type one in my hand if you really want to, but it’s a lot easier to use the icon.
Go to the cell that contains the link using the arrow keys.
Once in the cell press F2.
Make the edit.
To do an Hyperlink:
Write what the hyperlink is going to say in a cell “brain diagram here”.
Find the button on top with a “world and a chain” and follow the instructions.

i used to use windows movie maker, the file i wanted to edit the video out of, did not show up.
I want to edit the movement controls out of W S A D. I prefer to use the arrow keys to control movement. Up Down Right and Left.
Avid is the standard. But from what it sounds you want to make it look professional and that’s skill not software.
final cut pro is what many pro’s actually use. Not sure if it is available for a PC, but don’t know why you would want to use one for professional multimedia anyway.
I’ve read from magazines that adobe is what developers use[video game dev's]. I also heard it was hella expensive.
K so i downloaded OLP’s new song off their new album off youtube…now I want to edit out the video, and keep the audio, essentially turning it into an .mp3

You can’t. It was a dumb decision by the game designers.
There are some third-party programs you can use, but I don’t know where to find them as I didn’t play the game myself.

I started a game with a custom sim, and using Edit Town mode, I was able to add a new sim family and move them into a home– but how can I edit their house/customize it or play using them? I go to build mode and it only lets me edit my original sim’s house. Can I even play the new sim family?

and in the bottom left corner of the screen there is the blue object that you use to select hand arrow build buy bulldozer etc well at the very top left corner there is a circle with two houses in it you click that and it lets you change the active household so you can select the house they live in and start playing with them in the new house

Adobe Premiere – advanced

Vegas – basic
There are tons of them out there – the best thing is to start with a basic one of get someone to teach you the advanced ones.
The basic ones range in price from $50 to $150.
The more advanced ones start in price around $500
Again, I’d advise you to go find someone that can give you a quick lesson – it will save you HOURS of frustration!

I went with a combination of Windows Movie Maker and the software that came with my digital camera. Unfortunately, the only other options are to get a Mac or maybe try a bootable Linux cd. Linux will have a program for free to edit video most likely.
PS. If you think Windows Movie Maker is crap, you’ll hate every program but premier. I guess it depends on which version of Movie Maker as well. I can’t say much for the Vista or XP versions since I’ve been running Windows 7 since the first beta.

If you have a MAC, iMovie is pretty good. Final Cut Pro is what professionals use for commercials, movies, etc. However, this software is very expensive and only works on the MAC.

I just reinstalled windows Vista on my computer and have finished re-installing all of my drivers. For some reason when I go to change the color of my toolbar in Windows Color and Appearance i get a completely different menu than I used to get (and everybody else) and I don’t even get a color change option. Anybody know how to fix this?
From the Microsoft site, here are the things ‘Vista Ultimate’ has that ‘Vista Home Premium’ doesn’t;

- Data protection with ‘BitLocker drive encrypion’
- A collection of smaller extra features
Oh, and it’s about $60 more expensive (not worth it if you ask me).
As for running ‘Home Premium 64-bit’, the recommended specifications and features are;
-1 GHz 64-bit (x64) processor
-1 GB of system memory
-40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
-Support for DirectX 9 graphics with:
WDDM Driver
128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)
Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware

Remember that these are recommended and so not necessarily required, although even with the recommended specs, vista will probably seem very slow. If you like windows, i’d recommend ‘Windows 7′.

Well, I haven’t done it in a while but CamStudio was pretty good for me. It’s open source so it’s free. The FPS you get can depend on the power of your computer and the options you use, but I never bothered with those too much. I think it outputs in AVI so if it doesn’t work in Windows Movie Maker right away (and I somewhat doubt it since AVI is such a basic format), you could convert it using Super or something similar to wmv format.
If you’re looking for a commercial product, you may be able to do better.

cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.
