Disappointing

Looks nice, but….
1. Sometimes it crashes when you take and upload a new pic within the app. Sometimes it doesn’t.
2. Pix from the camera roll are only uploaded at 800×600 (on an iPhone 3G) instead of 1600x 1200. (Yes, most apps are limited to 800×600, but you can upload full res photos by copying them from the camera roll and pasting them into a mail message.)
3. And uploads don’t respect existing geotags: you can only choose to tag with your current (at time of upload) location, or none at all.
Looking forward to improvements….
Finally! Some improvements and bugfixes needed

Great to see an official app. This is a well-designed, fun app. Great visual presentation (love the zoomy home screen), clean & simple interface.
But:
- it’s SLOW, and seems to slow down more and more with use. Commenting takes forever
- it focuses purely on one’s network – so you can’t explore the global ‘interesting’ set, for instance
- no groups! Though group activity appears in the ‘recent’ section
About time!

Finally an official app!…Nice clean, easy to navigate user interface.
Pros:
1) Landscape mode.
2) Two views, thumbnail and thumbnail with picture title.
3) Ability to email picture.
4) Search
Cons:
1) Can’t delete a picture.
2) Can’t delete comments.
3) Can’t zoom in or out of a picture.
4) Can’t edit tags or picture title.
5) Can only email one picture at a time.
6) Can’t save pictures from the app to iPhone/iPod touch photo’s.
All in all a nicely done app, just needs the above added.

Twelve UW-Green Bay students and a staff member spent their Spring Break visiting southwest South Dakota, where they spent time on the Pine Ridge Reservation and in Rapid City building relationships, learning Lakota culture, and working on service projects.
The group visited Red Cloud School, Oglala Lakota College, the Lakota Fund, Wounded Knee, and much more. They had conversations with Betty O’Rourke, great-granddaughter of Black Elk, and Will Peters, recent recipient of a Native American Music Award (also known as a “Nammy”). The students played with children in an after-school program, built a new porch, and prepared a wall for a large mural.
The trip was organized by the Ecumenical Center and co-sponsored by Student Life. Photos from this high-impact learning experience can be found in the flickr window on the Student Life website.

JVC camcorder users are usually troubled by MOD and TOD files that generated by their JVC camcorders, because the two formats generally can not be accepted directly by most video players or editors. If you want to enjoy these video files on your computer or portable devices, or even do some further editing with video editing software, you have to convert them to some other common formats previously. This article here will introduce you how to convert MOD and TOD files generated by JVC camcorders on Windows and Mac?If you are in need, please go ahead with it.
Part 1: About MOD and TOD:
or http://en.wikipedia.org/ can help you !
Both MOD and TOD are the informal tapeless video formats produced by certain digital camcorders. And both of them have never been given to any meaning explanations or official names by their creators JVC or Panasonic. The differences between them lie in: MOD are used by JVC, Panasonic, and Canon in some models of camcorders, such as JVC GZ-MG130, GZ-MS100U, GZ-MG255, Panasonic SDR-SW20, SDR-SW21, SDR-S26, Canon FS100, FS200, FS21 and so on, while TOD is only used by JVC camcorders, like JVC GZ-HD7, GZ-HD5, GZ-HD6, GZ-HD30, and GZ-HD40; Moreover, MOD is only used for standard definition video files, while TOD is exclusively used for high definition video files.
Part 2: How to convert MOD and TOD files on Windows?
Step 1: Download, install and run Pavtube TOD Converter
Step 2: Import video files, select output format and specify store path

If you want to play on your cell phone, you can select 3GP; to play on iPod or iPhone, you can select MP4; to share online, you can select FLV. Meanwhile, press output folder to specify where to locate the output files, or you can use the store path set by default. Step 3: Set advanced settings:
You are allowed to do some advanced settings according to your own requirements. In this section, you are able to set parameters for output video, the bigger value, the better quality, but the larger size.

or http://en.wikipedia.org/ can help you !
Step 4: Convert
Pavtube provides you a friendly interface while converting, and all the conversion info can be found out in the following window, like total progress, the time have spent, the file size have been generated, as well as the possible left time and the entire size probably produced during the conversion.

Tips:
1. The converting speed of this software is 1-2 times faster than the similar converters. Batch conversion can be done in a few minutes. Merge multiple files into one file is also available.
2. It does not have the audio-video sync issues.
3. With exception of adding text as watermark, images, GIF animations, and videos can also be added as watermarks to realize the picture-in-picture effect.
4. You can use the “Trim” function to select certain video clips to convert. And you can also take advantage of the “Crop” function to remove black edges or change the screen size.

Increase the bit rate, video quality will be improved, while file size will be enlarged. Decrease the bit rate, file size will be reduced, while quality is inferior to the original.

Step 3: Export To
Set which destination folder the output files will be exported to. You can export them to the default path or specify a path to locate them by clicking “Browse”.
Step 4: Convert
Tips: Introduce you two more special functions to optimize your conversion.

1. Add watermarks to your video
There are four ways to add watermarks, including adding text, adding images, adding GIF animations, and especially adding videos. Don’t you think a picture-in-picture function is really wonderful?

2. Audio Replace
If you want to add some soft music or some other audio resources to match your recorded videos, you can have a try about the function of “Audio Replace” to replace the original audio in your videos. You can click “Browse” to select which audio resources will be used to take place of the original audio.

Hope this article could definitely relieve your format troubles while handling MOD or TOD video files no matter you are a Windows user or a Mac user.

To play Blu-ray ISO backups on your WD TV Live, one thing you should know is that WD TV Live can well play ISO files from a USB drive, while network shares do have problems actually.
In order to get an ISO backup, what’s your workflow? As all I know, some people use tsMuxeR to back up the Blu-ray disc, and then converted it into an ISO using Daemon Tools. Personally, I use Pavtube Blu-ray Copy to make ISO backups for my Blu-ray discs.
or http://en.wikipedia.org/ can help you !
Within several clicks, this program can finish its task, and enables you to get an ISO image file. What you should do is just loading your BD files via “Source” option, and then choose “Image File (*.ISO)” from the pull down menu of “Target” to specify the destination folder. BTW, you’d better indicate your USB drive as the save path, or you need spend time to copy the ISO image to your USB drive repeatedly. Once the two steps finished, the backup process will begin, and then you just need wait for the resulted ISO files for your WD TV Live.

As long as copying task is completed, plug the USB into your WD TV, and connect it to your HDTV via HDMI cable, what you should do next is enjoying your BD movies on your widescreen TV leisurely.
One more thing I should mention is that some users have problems to play Blu-ray ISO files via their WD TV, but DVD ISO is working well. Not clear about the accurate reason, but another solution can be recommended. Since WD TV is able to beautifully playback HD MKV files up to Full HD 1080p, thus we just need a utility to convert BD files to HD MKV, and then everything will be OK. Because of the Blu-ray copyright issues, some discs are highly protected, we must take advantage of a powerful application to do so. In that case, the following Blu-ray ripper is suggested, it is able to remove nearly all kinds of BD protections, including BD+, AACS, and even MKB Version > 10 is supported as well.
This Blu-ray ripper allows users exporting “MKV HD Video (*.mkv)” format, and also enables users to reset audio and video parameters via clicking “Settings” button. You can set the resolution at 1920*1080 to remain 1080p quality of your Blu-ray movies, as well as keep 5.1 channel of the original surround sound. All in all, all the parameters like bit rate, codec name, frame rate, sample rate are all changeable in the following interface.

After your preferred settings for your WD TV have been set well, just click “Convert” button to start conversion. Once finished, you can watch them on your TV via WD TV with ease, and the high quality of the Blu-ray movie has never been changed at all.
Is this helpful? Hope it is.

To convert HD camcorder clips and other videos to a format that can be played on an iPod, iPhone, Apple TV
and shared on the web, some Mac users have purchased the not cheap Elgato Turbo.264 HD Video Encoder to
realize their format conversion goals. Turbo.264 HD is
not only an encoder, but also an accelerator to convert all popular video formats (including HD camcorder video) to
a high-quality H.264 file in standard or HD resolutions. It is incredibly fast and comes with an easy-to-use software
application.
Everything seems good, but when it comes to deal with copy-protected DVDs, it usually gives users CSS errors,
because it can only convert DVDs that are not copy-protected. Aside from the copyright issues, according to some
users’ review, Turbo.264 HD has one worse problem that sometimes the exported files are all out of sync. We can
have a look at some reviews on this point together. Written by PF from Ventura, 5-Nov-2009: “This product is a joke
… most of the files generated using this product have audio that is completely out of sync and are unwatchable”;
Written by AM from San Jose, 16-Nov-2009: “This product does exactly what it says on the box; it makes Apple TV
format movies in a very short time. The issue is they’re unwatchable. I’ve ripped 15 movies in the last 10 hours, and
not one of them has the audio in sync with the image.”
Well, how to fix the two problems? At this time, change your eyes on another affordable program would be a
better choice. Absolutely, Pavtube DVD Ripper for Mac is for you to give solutions to the two problems.
or http://en.wikipedia.org/ can help you !
Pavtube DVD Ripper for Mac is able to read all copy-
protected DVDs from DVD ROM, DVD Folder, or IFO/ISO image files directly, and rip VIDEO_TS folders to playback
on popular multimedia players like iPhone, iPod, PSP, PS3, Apple TV, etc. The output format is wide ranging from
MP4, 3GP, AVI, MPG, MPEG-4, FLV, MOV, 3G2, VOB, MP3, FLAC, MKA, OGG, WAV, AC3, M4A, etc. to HD video
up to 1080p. It also supports DVD chapter selection, and enables you to pick the audio track, subtitle, and camera
angle you want to go with the main feature when converting DVD files.
alt="dvdrippermacmaininterface091230.jpg" />
Pavtube DVD Ripper for Mac easily enables you to rip copy-protected DVDs fast and smoothly on Mac with
excellent output quality, and previewing, trimming, cropping, combining DVD clips, and adding text, image or video
watermarks to DVD files are all available within a few clicks. The advanced audio and video sync technology it
adopts will never let you be troubled by audio and video out of sync issues. Best of all, it is definitely cost-efficient,
only $28, much cheaper than $179.95 of Elgato Turbo.264. Consider having a try? Good luck.
