[Bluray to m2ts]Make a backup of a Blu ray disc to hard disk without compression
This guide is written for Blu-ray movie fans that feel like backing up their Blu-ray collections to hard drive without compression and meanwhile downsize the digital copy as much as possible. Generally, the guide tells you how to:

Part 1. Crack BD copy-protections and Copy main movie from Blu-ray Disc
Download trial version of Pavtube Blu-Ray to M2TS Converter and install the application. Connect a BD drive with you PC and insert the Blu-ray Disc you want to rip. Keep your computer networked to ensure Pavtube Blu-ray to M2TS Converter hack Blu-ray AACS and BD+ protections properly.
1. Double-click the icon to run Pavtube Blu-Ray to M2TS Converter. Click on the “BD/DVD” button to import Blu-ray movie from the disc. The Blu-ray Disc gets cracked when the movie is loaded to file list.
2. Click the “Title Mode” button to switch to “File Mode”.

Tip 2: In case that the main movie is composed of multiple .m2ts streams, rip the Blu-ray movie to lossless MKV with ByteCopy instead. tsMueR support MKV as well.
Part 2.M2TS to BDMV- Remove unwanted tracks and create BDMV structure from main movie (*.m2ts)
Download freeware tsMuxer (Windows).
1. Click “Add” to load hacked Blu-ray main movie (*.m2ts) to tsMxer.
2. A Blu-ray .m2ts video usually contains multiple audio and subtitles streams in various languages. You can uncheck an audio/subtitles track to remove it. Removing unwanted audio/subtitles from m2ts also helps you downsize the Blu-ray backup without compression.
3. Select “Blu-ray disk” mode.
4. Click “Browse” to specify an output folder to save the BDMV and CERTIFICATE Blu-ray file structure (make sure there is enough free space to save generated files).
5. Click “Start demuxing” to demux .m2ts and create Blu-ray structure with m2ts, i.e. BDMV and CERTIFICATE directory.
Tip 3: If you’d like to get Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS 5.1 audio instead of original TrueHD and DTS-MA audio, select the HD audio track and check “Down convert TrueHD to AC3”/“Down convert DTS-HD to DTS” in step 2.
From here you can play the Blu-ray movie in BDMV or import the BDMV and CERTIFICATE directory to ImgBurn (freeware) to burn a Blu-ray Disc or BD ISO image. Also, you can import the BDMV file structure to Pavtube BDMV Converter, extract the main movie with just one selected audio language or subtitles, and compress the movie for iPad, iPhone, iPod, etc.

Copying blu-ray directory to PC

Step 3. Click ‘Full Disk Copy’ button to start backing up the blu-ray disc to your hard drive. The prompt window shows you the progress and generated size. Click ‘Cancel’ if you feel like aborting the task. Basically, the whole contents of the disc, including the main movie, commentary, sidelights, trailer etc, will be copied to PC within an hour.
Step 4. When the copying process completed, click ‘Open’ button to find generated blu-ray directory. The directory contains two folders, ‘BDMV’ and ‘CERTIFICATE’. To view the movie (m2ts files), please open BDMV\STREAM folder. The m2ts files can be played with VLC player and KMPlayer.
Burning the contents to Blu-ray disc
A blu-ray writer/burner and a writeable blu-ray disc is required for burning. Make sure the disc has enough space for saving the whole contents.
Step 1. Load ImgBurn. Click the ‘Write files/folders to disc’ button. Add the blu-ray files (‘BDMV’ and ‘CERTIFICATE’ folder) to ImgBurn. Simply drag and drop both folders into the ImgBurn Source box on the left side of the program.
Step 2. Configure the program for burning a compliant Blu-ray disc if you like, just switch to the ‘Options’ tab and configure the settings.

Down convert/Compress/Shrink Blu-ray movies (BD-50 and BD-25) with Pavtube ByteCopy
This guide is written for Pavtube ByteCopy users that feel like to compress Blu-ray movies to smaller file size with great video quality, 5.1 audio tracks (AC3 and DTS), multiple subtitles streams and original chapter structure. Though mainly designed for lossless Blu-ray/DVD movie backup, the Pavtube ByteCopy software offers transcoding options for converting and shrinking Blu-ray movies to H.264, Xvid, and MPEG-2 video files.
Guide- How to compress Blu-ray movies (BD-50 and BD-25) with Pavtube ByteCopy
Step 1. Load Blu-ray movie from Disc.
Run Pavtube ByteCopy, and click “Load Disc” button 
to import movie files from copy-protected Blu-ray Disc (BD-50 or BD-25). To load BDMV folder, choose “Load BD/DVD folder” from the dropdown list of “Load Disc”.
Step 2. Choose output titles, audio tracks and subtitles to keep.
To shrink Blu-ray with smaller file size, you’re advised to keep main movie only. The main movie is included in Title 1 is selected by default. Expand main title, and uncheck the audio and subtitles you don’t want to keep.
Step 3. Down convert 1080p Blu-ray movie to H.264 MKV.
Pavtube ByteCopy provides 3 codecs for transcoding movie, i.e., MPEG-TS, Xvid and H.264. H.264 codec is recommended for its ability of maintaining pretty good video quality with higher compression ratio. To shrink 1080p Blu-ray movie to H.264 MKV, follow the steps below.
1. Select/highlight the whole movie (root directory).
2. Click “Edit Disc”.
3. Find “Format” box on popup window, and select “Custom” from drop-down list.

5. Check the “Encode” box under “All video streams”, select H.264 as video codec, and then set video size(1920*1080, 1280*720, etc), bitrate(512kbps- 18000kbps). To compress a 90min Blu-ray movie to DVD quality (4-6GB), set 5000kbps. For down converting Blu-ray movies on an 46’ HDTV (8-12GB), set 8000kbps to 10000kbps. Check the “Encode” box under “All audio streams” to compress HD audio to AC3/AAC/DTS 5.1 audio.
Step 4. Back to the main interface, and press the “Convert” button
to start down compressing Blu-ray movie to MKV with multiple audio tracks and subtitles included. 3. By default the video size is “original”. When you make changes to video size, please also check the “Encode” box below “All Subtitle Stream”. Although the original subtitle looks fine for 1920*1080 video, it might go beyond the screen when the video is resized to 1280*720, so make sure the subtitle is converted as well.
4. To backup a BD-50 to BD-25/copy dual layer Blu-ray movie to single layer Blu-ray Disc with audio tracks, subtitles and menus included, you may first use Pavtube ByteCopy to compress Blu-ray movie to MKV and then use tsMuxer to recover Blu-ray structure (BDMV folder), and Imgburn to burn BDMV to blank BD-25. For your reference – What audio codecs will Blu-ray support?
Linear PCM (LPCM) – up to 8 channels of uncompressed audio. (mandatory)
Dolby Digital (DD) – format used for DVDs, 5.1-channel surround sound. (mandatory)
Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) – extension of Dolby Digital, 7.1-channel surround sound. (optional)
Dolby TrueHD – lossless encoding of up to 8 channels of audio. (optional)

How to rip bluray to lossless audio with Pavtube ByteCopy?
Step 1: Free download Pavtube ByteCopy, install and launch it
